Movie Review: Chocolat

Summary: Chick flick about a chocolatier in France who helps a town break out of their shell.

Review: This wasn't a bad movie. I actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Johnny Depp has a small role in it and does a great job, as always. Not much to say about it, just don't watch it on an empty stomach. The chocolate in this movie looks really good. Maybe I was just hungry.

Movie Review: Aeon Flux

Summary: Futuristic action/adventure with lots of cool gadgets and mutant plants.

Rating: 7.5 out of 10

Review: I remember the cartoon that was on MTV about 10-15 years ago. It was dark, complicated, and had an amazing animation style. It was a fantastic show, even though the plot didn't always make sense. Charlize Theron takes the lead in the movie that is only loosely based on the animated series. If you go into this movie just expecting some good visuals and excellent futuristic stuff, you will not be disappointed. The movie takes place in the distant future where much of the human race has died and the rest of them have gathered together into one city to live an idealized life. Or do they? Aeon Flux doesn't think so, and she is a member of a secret group trying to figure out what is going on behind the scenes. Fun movie.
